I would say the 6.0L is much less expensive to work on when it does have stuff go wrong. Yes, I really like my 6.4L. The problem is that if you have an injector that's going out, you're not likely to notice until it's too late; they have a tendency to melt the piston. Or the cracked piston as noted before. Too many times the block has too much scoring on it then that it can be bored out, but after 0.030 there are almost no parts available. The 6.0L's issues are usually only on the top end. For that reason they are less expensive to repair.
I sometimes wonder what I'll do with mine when the time comes... Maybe a CAT C7, or maybe a DT 466. Or perhaps there will be a good used available when I need it.

not to downplay that the pistons crack. But my diesel guru fella i talk to has seen the pistons melt due to injector failure. Which is a bit of a concern obviously… if mine failed i couldnt help but consider a DT360. It just feels right.. lol
