I don’t know where or what I need to bleed because I removed the fuel line on the regulator and I removed the fuel filter housing completely and changed the fuel pump and ipr, ICP so I don’t know how or where to bleed the fuel system
also the truck won’t run at the moment trying to get it to finally start
I filled the housing with brand new diesel and I’ve still been having no luck and no smoke when cranking just the smell of diesel in the exhaust and air around it
also a list of new parts on the truck:
cps
icp
ipr
fuel pump
The truck has previously been running and then it sputtered and died so that’s why I have been replacing parts trying to find the problem and yes the tach moves while cranking
I have also been cranking on the truck for abt 10 minutes each day for a few weeks
The first time that I removed my fuel filter housing and reinstalled it, My truck would not start.
I had missed getting a wiring plug reconnected. It might be something as simple as that.
You need a scan tool or mechanical gauge plumbed into a high pressure oil rail to determine if you have the required 450 PSI + to allow the PCM to tell the IDM to actuate the injectors. Two of the parts you replaced can easily cause a no-start. Where did you get the ICP and IPR?
Also, removing the housing can disturb the often brittle/deteriorated IPR harness and cause a short between the two wires. This can, at best, just cause the IPR to not function (constantly open allowing bypass back to the sump) or at worst, fry the IPR driver in the PCM resulting in paying for repair or replacement. Hopefully it's not the latter.
