I removed my TB while doing a head gasket. It looks pretty grimy. Can I use choke cleaner or do I need something special?
Also I notice what looked like a small amount of oil back behind the throttle body. It looks like this came up through the PCV. Does this make any since? I'm going to change it anyway while it's out.
I believe you should use only Throttle Body cleaner. The TB has a special coating on the inside. Choke or carb cleaner will dameage the coating.
