I am in Cleveland OH the next few weeks staying at a hotel. Most of the time I can park where I can see my truck. This allows me to remote start it with my key fob. The hotel I am at this time doesn't have parking on the side I can see, so my truck is outa range of the fob. I used Ford Pass App and set up a schedule start at 0630 every weekday. This morning I came outa the hotel and my truck was running. With a lot of folks saying how bad it is I figured I would say something good about it.
FordPass works for me most of the time. Wish it were a bit faster but it does work. Also wish you could roll up/down windows using the app. I can do it with the keyfob so why not the app. Now that would be a sweet.
How do you roll up/down the windows with the keyfob?
Well, you can't roll them up anyhow. But to get them down push the unlock button twice (all doors unlocked) then hold the unlock button for 5 seconds. On my XLT super cab the front windows will come down. You'll need the key in the ignition to get them back up! There's a thing in FORscan to make them all come down.
I tried to start my truck via Ford Pass this morning about 8:30 EST and got a message that Ford Pass was down for service due to a number of complaints, among them it takes way too long to start the truck. Hopefully they'll get that fixed today.

Also got this message this morning. The ford.com support page for the app says you can locate the vehicle. That hasn't worked for me today. Thought I'd check it out while the vehicle is several miles away at a detail shop but I got nothing.

You can turn on global close in forscan and do the same steps you listed above with the lock button instead.

I wasn't aware that an option to roll all windows down was an option. I'll have to take another look at the Forscan spreadsheet. I did do the global window close change. When it's hot out it's nice to be able to open and then close them from outside the truck.
Fordpass app and rewards site is/was down for everyone today. I am in the process of using my points toward an ESP and received a message from the dealer telling me Fordpass is down and he will process when it's back up. Hopefully it will be back soon.

Just the front windows will open or close even with using Forscan the rear windows don't have a computer to control them.
You'd think the windows up/down would be very basic at this point. My 2013 Fusion SE (lower end model) even has this option, it will open all 4 windows with unlock and close all 4 windows with lock on the fob.

You'd think. But then Ford wouldn't be able to add this into a package in a future model year with 5 other things that no one wants and are completely unrelated and charge $2000 for.
For the first time I have used my app to schedule starts this week. The temps have gotten pretty low so I scheduled the truck to start about 5 minutes before I walked out in the morning to leave. It's worked fine both times. To date, the start/stop and lock/unlock has always worked too, however, it does take about 15-20 seconds to actually work, and I don't really use it often. Mostly just the fob. I have really taken to the keypad to lock and unlock the doors too... I love this and won't order another vehicle without it! It's been a game changer for me!
I also enabled global close with Forscan. So far the only time I have used it was to check and make sure it all worked after reprogramming it! I can see where it would be handy sometimes too though, but it would be nice if all 4 windows reacted.
