Or not.
Do you find any benefit in prayer, a traditional way of communicating with God?
Or do you view it as a waste of time, a remnant of our unenlightened past?
Or are you unsure just what to think?

Prayer to me is the best thing a Christian can have aside from reading the Bible. I find it a great help when I'm down or in need. Also, I love to pray when I need nothing...just to talk to God himself. I know God doesn't always talk back, but I have faith that he hears me at all times of the day.

Just as in any other relationship, communication is the key. I find prayer to be very important and rewarding. How awesome is it to know that my prayers are heard by the Creator of the universe and that He listens to them and is affected by them. "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. " James 5:16.

Yes, it does. As a matter of fact when you are alone the Holy Spirit is with you, therefore, two are together there, too....ever think of that?
I pray in any and all methods, especially when I start to work on my truck!
To me prayer is like the dove Noah set loose that came back with an olive leaf, then again it is like the dove Noah turned loose and never came back; it still did the job and Noah was blessed in both instances.

FWIW - I think the best example of the concept of which you speak is the . . song(?), "footsteps in the sand".
Where the guys is asking about only one set of footprints in the sand and God says; "Yo' Schmuck! - I WAS CARRYING YOU!! (or words to that effect).
