I'm tempted to go with the carpet delete option on my XLT Crew Cab special order.
Looking at the photo rendering of the of the interior as you build it on the Ford site, it seems like when you choose the carpet delete it also deletes the rear under seat storage compartment.
I've not been able to find a definitive answer to this on any documents I've read from Ford.

Anyone know if the carpet delete also deletes the rear under seat storage compartment?

I did carpet delete and have the foldout storage.

 

My Lariat has carpet delete with under seat storage. I would think the trim level would be the deciding factor not the flooring.

I did the carpet delete on my 22’ XLT. It did NOT come with the under seat storage box. I had to order it after it arrived. Check with you’re sales rep, but I don’t think it comes with the XLT. I also did not get any add on “packages” either, that could change weather it comes with a box or not.

 

You need the value or premium package to get under seat storage on XLT

 

Makes sense. My XLT Premium was ordered with carpet delete and has storage.

 

Yes my XLT value package with carpet delete has the rear seat folding storage. I love the carpet delete!

 

Anyone passing by here wanting a Super Cab be advised rear under seat storage is not available from Ford on any trim. Period.
You either do without, buy one or make one as I did.

But carpet delete is a wonderful thing, not living in snow country I like the optional OEM floor mats for vinyl floors. The only reason to get carpet is because you just like it.

 

I hope that the carpet delete on mine also deletes the storage- my dog needs all that space!! If it has the storage when it arrives, I'll be uninstalling it right away.

I was the same way. I didn't want the under seat storage, but the XLT Value package comes with it. As long as you didn't add either the Value or the Premium package to your order, it won't come with the under seat storage though. The carpet delete has nothing to do with whether or not the under seat storage is included.

Like you though, I wanted as much comfortable space as possible when the seats were folded up for my dogs. I thought I would take it out too, but I am actually using it for now. It will fold down when not needed, but it's not as flat as just not having it. I ended up putting my Husky X Act Contour mats in, and that does somewhat help level it out, but it's still not exactly flat. I also bought the 4KNines hammock pad and even though it was a bit expensive, I do like it. It does a great job at keeping the hair somewhat contained... lol. I also picked up a few big dog pillows from Walmart and throw them in the back floor after I put the hammock in so that helps with the somewhat uneven floor, and gives the dogs a little nicer place to lay.

However, the carpet delete is great! I wouldn't order another vehicle without it!

 

Any of you that aren't going to use the under seat storage, I'll take it off your hands if you're in NW Oregon.

 

I chose the carpet delete also, it states on my window sticker that I'm still getting the rear under seat storage compartment.
