I think the noise is the AC clutch. When the belt was off I was able to spin the AC pulley freely and it made a constent click/clack as I rotated it. I don't think this is normal and it sounded very much like the noise I hear in the first video but the AC seems fine. It engages and blows cold air. I will monitor. Engine is tight and runs great. Coming up on 500 miles of city driving and just this external noise so far. Really think this long block remanufactured engine is going to be worth it in the end but we shall see.
Most likely the Compressor clutch is getting worn.
1. I have No use for 5W20 motor oil here. At oil change motor is broken in, put in 5W30 full synthetic, best brand. See if motor goes mostly quiet. If it does you got your answer !
one neighbor starts his and lets it run for 10 minutes before heading out. Another Neighbor asked me what I thought earlier and told him the front of the motor was going to blow up.
2. many years ago 5W20 was used in Lp motors cause the oil would thicken in cool weather. Those motors didn't last either. 5w30 is a much better oil when it became the all weather oil. I believe 5w20 is just a better mileage oil for a fleet. Means nothing for the owners who have motors blow up.

Yes absolutely on the oil. I will follow powertrains instructions up to 2500 miles right or wrong. 5W20 conventional at 500 and then change at 2500-3000. At that time I will switch over to 5W30 synthetic. Pennzoil. At what point should I change the oil? I was planning on every 4K. Is this too excessive for this new engine?
