Roadmaster Active suspension vs Overload leaf

Hey fellow Truck Enthusiasts.

I received my new F250 a few days ago and so far am loving it. I had purchased Roadmaster Active suspension for it back during Black Friday deals and ordered the kit for trucks without an overload leaf as all my research indicated I wouldn't have the overload leaf. Now that I have my truck I see that it does have overload leaf. Roadmaster is shipping me free of charge the plate needed to replace to overload leaf which is great. My question is, will I notice any difference loaded between having the overload leaf or having RAS AS? I will be towing a small Fifth wheel camper (~9000lb loaded, 1400lb pin weight).

For the record, my truck config is as follows.
2022 F250 CCSB Lariat Value pack. 7.3 engine with 4.30 gears. Black appearance package and fifth wheel prep pack. Not sure which of those gave me the overload leaf but something did.

Thank you,
J...

I assume fifth wheel prep would give you that overload. Are you saying the active suspension wants you to remove the overload? Not sure I’d be doing that in a new truck. Before You install anything hook up your 5th wheel. My ccsb without overloads goes down 2-2 1/2” at the rear wheel well. My fifth is 10,780 empty and close to 1900lbs pin weight. Real world pin depending on load is closer to 2500lbs. With the overloads you may not need anything.

ive pulled my friends 5th that is closer to your specs and it barely moved to truck down maybe an inch and pulled excellent. His gvwr on that 5’er was 10,200.

For that small of a trailer, you sure wouldn't need to change anything from stock, it would be more than able to handle it.
I tow heavier than that a lot with my truck.

I am also not sure on removing anything off the new truck. My goal in purchasing them was to help with wheel hop when unloaded. The roads in my city are notorious for being the worse in Canada and when empty, my F150 bounces all over the place. Reducing Axle wrap was also an added bonus with RAS. I may wait and see how it tows when the snow melts and go from there. Returning the RAS is not really an option as I am in Canada and they charged a small fortune for shipping that I will never recover not to mention shipping them back will be pricey...

Thank you,
J...

This trailer won't be an issue but I am looking at a small toy hauler down the road. Something in the GVWR of 14,000#. Probably still won't be an issue stock. Like I said, I wasn't expecting the overload spring....

Thank you,
J...

No overloads on mine, and I have no doubt it could handle 14K, and I'm sure it will one day, we have one trailer that is that heavy.
