Has anyone used the Precision brand door seal before? I found a good deal on a full rubber kit for doors, door seals, and both windows made by precision. I used fairchild door seals on my 70 f250 and wouldnt use them again. They just didnt fit right and have come loose already. There is an older thread that shows side by side difference between Fairchild and Dennis Carpenter door seals. Just wondering what others have thought about their Precision door seals if they have used them before. Especially if the channel of the seal fit the door properly.
Thanks for your experience with them. I have a bunch of there videos saved to computer for different installations but hadnt tried there products yet. If anyone is looking for new seals, here is what I was looking at. They do sell things individually also. I ended up ordering it a few minutes ago. Definitely beats trying to piece an order together. They have the vinyl flooring for the trucks here as well. I think I will wait til Im closer to that project since directions that I have found want these products laid out in place after receiving, to protect the shape. https://www.ocautocarpets.com/wn-pro...it-14pc-57446/
You should be happy with that rubber. The door seals fit well, not skimped out. Really quiets down the cab and I never got that “hard to close the door” issue that some guys complain about.
I used the 3M Super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive #08001 to glue in the door seals. Its a messy job so you have to work neat. And it helps alot to clean off all the old dried up glue before installing.
I recently used the Precision weatherstripping from Dennis Carpenter and fit snug on the door channel. Also used the 3M weatherstrip adhesive. However, my doors are still hard to close. It's better than when I first replaced the weatherstripping now that the rubber had a chance to compress down a bit.
