I just left my 95 F250 with the dealer (first time since I have owned it!) because it has a knock (bearings?) and is using oil like I am some kind of shiek.
It is likely they will recommend a Ford remanufactured long block.
Anyone have any experience with a 351w 'factory' reman, or any tips??
Thanks
Dealer said some of the noise is the AIR pump (not bearings) and there are a couple of minor leaks (none on the driveway?!) Likely rings.
Since this truck was a fed. govt. truck (auction deal) I would expect that it could have idled for a couple of months somewhere along the line.... part of the deal is figuring that this kind of problem could crop up. I have put more than 25k on it in less than a year.
