Hi all, local seller says this is 1959 F1. Love the truck but don’t know much about this year. It’s a resto mod. What would you say is fair value for this?
Not nearly enough information. This truck is worth what your willing to pay. Beyond that, its also good to know the age of any new parts and maintenance routines. See what I mean?

I know I know. My phone was on 1% and I was trying to get the post up. Here’s some more info. this is all I know…
Starts right up. New tires, brakes, Holley sniper fuel injection system, with hyperspark distributor, holley ignition and tons of cosmetic work. Comes with original carburetor. It's a 302 small block and manual 3 on the tree. As well as heater box inside (rare for this year). Has brand new glass all around professionally installed. Wooden slates in the bed with wood trim all around. Will need wiring for lights and accessories to complete. Paint job is a 15ft paint job
Best way is to look at all the places that sell trucks of that year and see what something similar to it are going for. And as Red60 said it is worth what you think it is worth. What hurts the value of it in my opinion is the step side and looks to be a long bed. But that is just me. If you like it that is all that counts.
If its a half ton its F100 not F1 (those were earlier)
does it have power steering? That small wheel would be tough at low speeds if it doesn’t.
If your really interested, consider taking it to a shop for full inspection and verification. Couple hundred bucks could help you out early if there’s something amiss which never is cheap.
After the health inspection, then decide how much $$ you can personally part with...
Another idea is to have it professionally appraised($300 in my area). This could give you two birds with one stone. 1- established value & 2- you can turn that in to your insurance for stated value policy (I did that for mine and am happy)...
Thanks guys that’s really helpful. I should have clarified, I’m interested in this truck so could finish it up and resell it. Curious what you all think it’s worth now based on what you see and assuming a decent restomod finish.
It looks like maybe an 8K truck if it were all finished. Kind of hard to tell from the few pics. What shape is the suspension? Kingpins, tie rods? Lots of tidying up to do.
What would it cost to repaint the truck and possible rust repair that has been covered up? I can see overspray on the tail pipe and window track. I have bought quite a few trucks and the resprayed ones that didn’t get a details right I run from now. I would say half that unless you are in love. There are a lot of these trucks out there and patience always gets a better deal. If you are unsure about the truck spend a few bucks and have a place check it out. Just my $.02
