I like having parts on hand rather than waiting til I need them and then trying to track them down, especially with how things are now… One thing I had been having trouble getting was the FA2031 air filter for my 2022 PSD, but they have been out of stock at many places for a long while. So I had been signed up at Diesel Filters Online to receive notifications when they are back in stock. A few weeks ago I got an email late at night (~11 pm) saying they were back in stock, but when I went to the site around 6 am they were out again… so I made sure I was still signed up and kept waiting. However this time I randomly went and checked the site for them… last night it caught me off guard when I saw they were back in stock, so I quickly grabbed 2 and submitted my order. What I found interesting though is that I didn’t get the notification email until 11 pm again last night, and I first noticed they were in stock around 830 pm.
So long story short, if anyone is on the list for these filters when they come in stock, I wouldn’t wait for the notification email…. I’d check daily. Chances are by the time you get the email they may already be sold out!
Just sounds like they have their notifications set for a specific time to go out, not when the parts show up in inventory.
The only filter I have on hand for mine is a fuel filter set.

Yeah, that’s why I said I wouldn’t count on the email to notify you early enough…
For my 16 6.7 this past summer the air filter was always out of stock when checking locally wherever I was at the time, ended up finally getting it from Amazon with the fuel filter and oil filter. I'll probably just do this for now on for the ease of it.

I don't believe it was much if any and free shipping. Plus if you need it...
At the time (August) the cost was: all Motorcraft
FA-1902 $20.99 _ air filter
FD-4615 $50.84 _ fuel filters
FL-2051S $15.98 _ oil filter
I know it’s just filters but I don’t like ordering some things from Amazon, and to keep Ford happy I wanted to make sure I was getting actual Motorcraft filters and not knockoffs, which Amazon seems to have no shortage of.
Anyway, all of my filters came from dieselfiltersonline. My oil filters were around $12/each, fuel filters were $52/each and the FA2031 filters were $30/each. When I ordered the oil and fuel filters I had free shipping, however when I just ordered the air filters last night shipping was $30… so I basically paid $45 for each of the air filters.
Just curious by your statement of Motorcraft knock offs. Are those filters that look like, labeled and oem part #s as Motorcraft but aren't or just "cheap" filters that can be used inplace of Motorcraft filters?

Not filters, but I have received some items from Amazon that were questionable as to whether they were real, and some things that were obviously not the real thing. Reading through reviews for some of the motorcraft filters it’s not hard to find comments that either question their authenticity or just point out that they were not the real deal. So, it’s just a personal thing for me… I don’t order lots of things from Amazon anymore though because of this…
