Thank you Brian, that looks much better than factory, and very smooth work.

I haven't posted anything in awhile, the wife wanted the main bathroom updated so not a lot of progress. I think I got the wiring figured out, being 46 years old and several owners it's had plenty of repairs. I still need to brake the camshaft in, which will be done at my buddy's shop. That process will be done on the Superflow dyno, and may as well make a couple of pulls to see where the horsepower and torque are. Once that is done then I can finally marry the transmission and start bolting some sheetmetal on.

I got the engine on and off the dyno in one piece. I was a little nervous with the break in procedure but everything went smoothly. The best dyno pull was 424 HP @ 5200 and 518 FT LBS @ 3700. I was hoping for 400 HP.

I used Eastwoods cast aluminum for the transmission. I was surprised at how nice it went on and nice it looks.

It's getting there, front dress and radiator core support next.

Thank you.
The dyno runs were not with the L&L's, we used a set of Hooker super comps. I had my headers coated to make them last a little bit longer being that they are mild steel. Usually when you run coated headers on the dyno they get discolored or "burnt" looking.
I'm 100% sure the engine would make less power with the L&L's, who knows maybe my 400 HP isn't that far off?

I hope these photos and part numbers help a fellow enthusiasts doing a similar build.

The carb is standard Holley 3310, but I wanted something different and kind of "Fordish" so I found on eBay this "cobra clone" crossover kit with rear metering block.

I used the Ford Racing M-6675-A460 oil pan kit, the only unfortunate problem was with the dipstick. I had to do a little rebending for header clearance and make a new bracket.

I purchased the Benchworks Steering conversion kit for a highboy.

I Knew I had to modify the radiator core support and fan shroud for steering box clearance. It wasn't too bad to do, just time consuming. The radiator is listed as "HD cooling w/AC" and the fan shroud (D7TZ-8146-D) is listed as "Super Cooling".

Sorry about not getting back to you earlier, took the family to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons for some fresh air.
The front float bowl does have driver side feed.
