Anyone install Centramatic wheel balancers on your truck? If so did you leave existing wheel weight’s on or take them off ? I was told after first ten thousand miles on your tires you could take the wheel weights off . Also was told by a different source that it didn’t matter if you leave them on . I have a 450 and just got a full rotate and balance, Centramatic wheel balancers are supposed to come in any day now . Just wondering what everyone is doing.
I think centramatic tells you to have the wheels balanced for sure if any of them take more than a certain amount of weight to balance out, because the centramatics will only balance up to a certain amount of off-balance.
If I go with them, then I will for sure have my wheels rebalanced before installing them.
I bought some recently and I have been told and read its fine either way.
Talked to a poster on Youtube with a drw and he said he took the weights off. People on here have posted they left them on.
I only bought them because of the dual wheel situation and them having to pound weights on to balance them as I will dismount and rotate soon. Instead of having scratched up rims I plan to tell them to just leave the weights as the factory installed them and run these.
If a tire is close to balanced, why would you deliberately remove weights to take it further from balance when installing centrimatics? If you want to remove them for cosmetic reasons, then by all means go for it. If you notice wheel weight corrosion (rare), then go for it. Otherwise, make a close-in balance even better with centrimatic. For my '17 450 (Rickson 19.5x7.5), I left the weights on when I added centrimatics front and rear, and see no need to remove weights that are serving to better balance my tires from the beginning.

My 450 was brand new so the weights hadn't worn through the clear coat yet. Plus as Brantel posted straight from the manufacturer they are not required. Keep your weights on if you want.

I picked up my Centramatic’s today , turns out I’m only about 30 miles from them. They did say if my tires were new it’s best to leave factory weights on for the first 10k after that it doesn’t matter either way .
