Judging by your ID and other post, I suspect we are discussing a 1999 Rexhall Rexair which makes it a 1999 F-53 stripped chassis with a 6.8 V-10 and a 4R100 transmission . . . right?
If so:
- Level the motorhome as much as possible
- Empty the fuel tank as much as possible, preferably using the current fuel pump until it sucks air
- If necessary, raise the back of the motorhome and/or lower the front to allow more room to work underneath
- Unstrap and lower the tank carefully, keeping an eye out to manage fuel lines and wires that won't make the journey the whole way down
- Remove old pump
- Install new pump
- Raise the tank carefully, keeping an eye out to manage fuel lines and wires that didn't make the journey the whole way down
- Level the motorhome as much as possible
- Add a few gallons of fuel
- Test
