Hello everyone,
i drive a 2012 E350 cutaway van that ive owned since new with 180,000 miles on a pretty tired 5.4 L (its already shot a plug) . Replacing it with a transit is out of the question.
I recently found out that Ford still offers the Econoline in a cutaway & it comes standard with the 7.3 gas. This motor really appeals to my professional needs but at $50,000 out the door including the body it just seems ridiculous for a 1 man operation to spend that kind of money on something i already own (and still looks great!) My question is,
am i crazy to consider a 5.4 to a7.3 godzilla swap ?
What does this entail ?
Any opinions or advice would be really appreciated
Thanks
BillyStray
Welcome to FTE!!!
Think I'd probably look for a good used one. Didn't know they still made Econolines, that makes me happy! I had an '88 E250 for a while, but never got it running.
Welcome to FTE. Your question(s) won't get many responses, here in the intro section. Try posting in the, "Ford Vans and Other Vehicles", forum. The van experts there, will probably be able to answer any questions you might have.
