It probably started atleast a month back and I’m having a heck of a time tracking it down. Ive got enough of a leak to leave spots everywhere I park and wet the underside of the engine and crossmember. Odd thing is the leak is the front side of the engine, like the flex lines are leaking. Ive hosed it off several times and layed under the front end with the engine running looking for drips or anything to show where my leak is actually coming from and no luck. Anyone have any insight on a fuel leak from that area and even more so how I might be able to stop it? I’d read somewhere about o rings in the flex lines going bad and being able to replace just the rings but couldn’t get a consistent part number for the o rings. I haven’t taken the flex lines loose in over 2 years.
Check the fuel bowl drain, it comes out on the front of the engine, passenger side. You will see a tube just above the manifold. The o-rings are known to rot out. The truck needs to be running to see it coming out. This just happened to me on my 99 F350.
If IRRC the driver side has the not so quick disconnect fittings down near the frame. Someone else had a leak there not to long ago. Will see if I can find the thread
I’ve replaced all the factory fuel lines on the engine with the CNC 4 line kit. I don’t believe there’s anymore of the Parker sleeves left. I’m hoping it’s just o rings on the flex lines from frame to engine but I can’t see them leaking
Clean the suspect area with brake clean and use some baby powered all over the area to help pin point the leak. Also a picture is worth a thousand words.
If the weather is decent tomorrow I’ll drag out the pressure washer and some degreaser, not using brake clean since I’m tired of it eating the paint off everything. Not sure how a pic would do much good, it the flex fuel lines that run from the frame to the hard lines on the front of the engine. About all you can see without pulling a lot off the drivers side of the engine is the ends
I had one where the fuel lines that run from the bottom of the engine to the top, behind the oil cooler, rusted through. Turn the fuel pump on and look for a fine mist in that vicinity. It starts as a fine mist and progresses from there. Those lines are a bear to change.

Actually a breakover bar to remove the belt and a 13mm socket w/ ratchet for the 3 bolts holding the alternator/power steering pump bracket and you get a pretty good look at those steel tubes. You can leave 1 bolt hanging by a couple threads and not even have to strap the bracket over to the fender well.
Sounds like a plan. I don’t remember those hard lines being bad at all when I went through the engine about 3 years ago but stranger things have happened. Just tired of marking my spot everywhere I go
