Was wondering what would be needed to install 2008 E 450 or newer grill , hood and headlights onto a 2006 E450

Asked here many times and whomever asks ends up disappointed. At least fenders, hood, bumper, headlights, grill… possibly some fabrication too.

The last person who asked wanted to know if F series parts could be used and of course that won't work. With a donor E series I think it can be done, the whole front clip including the rad support is required and there are likely wiring changes too.
