It sat in a railyard for a month and now it is sitting on a track in Georgia for the past 3 weeks.
It still has to make it to a railyard in New Orleans then get on a truck to my dealer 3 hours away.
Dealer says it is out of their hands, there is no one they can call, nothing they can do.
I only thought the wait while it was being processed and built was a long time! Frustrated to say the least at this point.
Mine was damaged on the train and repaired near the rail yard instead of at my dealer. Took 6 weeks to make that last 50-mile journey by truck.
When I called my dealer about an ETA a couple weeks ago, I was asked if I wanted to take delivery of my truck - even if there was damage. The sales manager said it's common for vehicles to be damaged in transit. Hearing this definitely didn't make me any happier. He shared with me, once vehicles arrive to the dealer, if there's damage, they take the vehicle to a local body shop, then customers can take delivery. I'm surprised repairs were done to your vehicle while in transit.
I told the dealership I will most definitely take delivery if there's damage AND I'll be inspecting the truck before it goes to any repair shop, because I'd like to assess what damage there may be. When my truck arrives, they'll be setting it to the side until I arrive. If there's damage, I'll be working with the dealership and auto body shop to schedule repairs... and on my own time. After I give the truck a good look over, they'll send it through PDI, followed by me driving it off the lot. Should be any day now...............
i have worked at a dealership in the past. you would not believe what kind of damage some vehicles have when delivered. windows, doors, mirrors, flat tires with bent rims, deep scratches etc all went to the body shop.... reparied and sent back to dealer... put in inventory with the new owner not even knowing.. does not show on carfax

Ohhh, I'm sure those damages are not in the Carfax. Huge reason why I want to know exactly what the damages are. Just wow.

Mine sat in the railyard for two weeks 30 miles from the dealership. I pushed the dealer and they had it picked up within two days. I should have pushed sooner. Push the dealer.

damn that’s insane. That’s not the call I want from my dealer 🤦🏻♂️🙄
I hope damage is not the reason it is delayed. If it is I wish they would just tell me, I will take bad news over no news at least I could decide if I needed to place another order or not.

Would the dealer even know if it's damaged? Or would the rail company or whoever just fix the damage before continuing on with the delivery?

When I learned my 2022 KR had been damaged in transit, I had a $2K Ford discount available to apply towards a vehicle purchase, but became reluctant to commit it to this truck until I could inspect it myself. That discount was to expire 9/30/21, and when my the EDD slipped (again) to 10/3/21, I went to my dealer and cancelled my original order. I then placed an order for a very well equipped Lariat. Guess what? The dealer called me the very next day (9/29/21) and said the KR from my original order had arrived. So I went and looked it over and found no evidence of a repair from when the passenger-side mirror got demolished. Closed the deal and took the KR home. The Lariat just arrived at my dealer last week. I did go take a look-see at it.
Yes, having delivery issues. Our truck was built 11/22. Me and my dealer are in Shelbyville, KY, ~25mi from KTP. Still don't have our truck. Original deliver by date was 11/30, that changed on 12/1 to by 12/10.
