Got a 2000 F150 Lariat and my cupholder is broken. Found a funny looking spring in the dashboard, but I don't see how it goes in. If somebody knows, does the middle of the spring go against the cupholder, or is it the edges? I'm also assuming I can glue it back, I didn't see any attachment hardware. And while I'm wishing for help, can I pull it out fairly easily?

all I know is that the whole assembly will easily come out. You have to take out the ash tray first, and then look underneath the holder. There's two tabs down with the little rails that the holder slides on. You just push them in towards each other and the whole thing should come out. I had mine out at one point because I wanted to clean it. I think once you get it out, you might be able to figure out what broke and how to fix it.
