I am driving a 2018 F250 6.7L 4x4 King Ranch. I am getting three error messages on my dash cluster consistently. They pop up in all driving conditions and at all different speeds. I can hit okay on my steering wheel and clear them out but they come right back a few minutes later. The dealer has not been able to solve the problem.
1) Service AdvanceTrak
2) Hill Descent Control fault
3) pre-collision assist not available (however, it seems to be working because it beeps at me all the time when I get close to another car.)
Attached are pictures of the three warnings (sorry for the clarity.... I was taking the pictures while I drove). I am not running any programming on my PCM. It is in an all "stock" configuration. The only modifications to the vehicle are a cat-back mbrp exhaust system and a cold air filter.
I recently purchased the Forscan interface cable for my laptop and downloaded the software. I have never used for scan and am a little bit scared! Does anyone have any guidance for me? Please help.
Yeah, it looks like it could have something to do with the ABS as all three fault messages are electronic brake related.
Possibly a faulty ABS module.
There should be error codes showing on a scan.
If the dealer can't track it down, sounds like an inexperienced tech, try another dealer or a good independent shop.
I had similar problems with a 2015 (except the pre-collision) It would hang around a couple of day and go away for a few months. I solved the problem by trading it for a new one
Pressure sensor in hcu might be biased. You can use forscan to check the brake pressure. Should be zero or very close when there is no input from the pedal.
