Hood lock

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but here goes again:

Has anyone tried out the hood lock product from motorhaven?

Part number : SKU #C9TZ-16700-A

I've too much $$ invested in my engine to leave my '69 hood unlocked

If nothing else, it will keep your hood from flying open going down the road....

I just fished a chain through the "channeling" at the front of the hood. Then I guide the ends through the hood latch opening and lock it. I had my battery pilfered years ago. There's also vinyl coated anchor chains that you can get at a boat supply store if you're concerned about scratching something. But I don't think it's very flexible. Maybe a bike inner tube over the chain would work better.
