Need help!!
I have a 2000 f150 v8 with 4.6 motor 4wd automatic...need a transmission as mine is slipping really bad an mechanic said it was bad so will a 2005 ford with 5.4 motor transmission work on my 2000 ford or no?? All ones iv located are rather pricey for me..so guy told me could hav tranny out of the 05 if it would fir but i dont know if it will work or not any info would be awesome!!

Why don't you order a rebuild kit for the 4R70W transmission. You can get these kits for far less than the price of a used tranny, don't be intimidated by an automatic tranny, they are pretty easy to rebuild if you have mechanical skills.
A good Master rebuild kit will run about 300.00, and ATSG make a very good manual for repairing and rebuilding this tranny.

I actually checked on a kit an the only guy that does that in my area said itd run about 450 but problem is hes so far behind itll be feb 2022 b4 he could get to it...thats what i really wanted to do myself but dont think mines gona last very much longer..so im kinda stessing bout what ifs an what am i gona dos...kinda tight on money like everybody now a days so im not sure what im gona have to do...but yeah wished i done more mechanicing in my days maybe couldve done it myself.lol but thanx for info i preciate
