I've found a 1968 f100 in a barn. Body is excellent and has no rust but when I popped the hood I noticed what looks to me like there's a hose missing from the air cleaner. Does anyone know where this goes and if you can see anything else missing from the picture?
Looks like someone screwed up the PCV connections. The driver side breather should connect to the elbow coming out of the front of the air cleaner. On the back passenger side there should be a pcv in a grommet connected to the spacer under the carb. No breather or oil fill cap there.
It is okay to have breathers on either valve cover as it is currently setup. Passenger side should have a PCV valve and a hose should run to the carb (or spacer if you have one). Drivers side runs out of the valve cover to the air cleaner. The hose is just 5/8" heater hose, just buy a few feet and cut to size. You'll need another elbow, similar to the one in the air cleaner to place in your oil breather. In total about $5 well spent at your local auto parts store for the whole system.
