I almost forgot to tell all of you!! So the other day i go to leave work. I start the truck and as usual, it started right up nice and quick. I let id idle for a bit then went to leave the parking lot. Right as I was about to leave the exit, the truck dies!! It was cranking nice and good but it would not start. I figured it might be a no spark situation but before I actually checked i went ahead and changed the module with my spare with no luck. I then checked the spark and saw that it had plenty of spark. at this point i was thinking because maybe it was the fuel pump. Took off the fuel line before the filter and saw it was pumping then after and it was pumping then throught that little piece of tubing between the carb and filter and it was pumping still!. Now I'm stuck with no tools because friday i took the tool box out of my truck just my luck. I had only a multipurpose tool with screwdrivers and a plier etc. i took the screw in tubing adapter off the carb and it was clear. now i walked to a store a half mile away and picked up a can of starting fluid. sure enough it started on that but then died. I dont wanna call a tow truck. I proceed to take the air cleaner off and then started on the carb. after about half hour, and half the carb apart laying around the engine bay!!! i realized that the little fuel valve that the float controls was stuck i removed it, cleaned it, and replced everything and sure enough the truck started up and i drove home. What a day!!!!!!!!! What could I do now to have this not happen EVER again? Hope you liked my story by the way.
