Brake warning lamp question
I have a 1990 f350 4x4 with a 7.3 diesel.
The brake warnign lamp comes on while driving and stays on.
I just replaced the front calipers, pads and rotors, bled the brakes with fresh Dot 3/4 fluid, checked the e-brake switch and it's fine.
any ideas?? I don't think it's the vacuum pump as the truck stops on a dime with NO pedal fade.
I'm thinking it's the little float/switch combo in the fluid reservoir.
any other ideas??
thanks
The firts one comes one:
1º Service brake applied
2º Low fluid level
3º While cranking (To check Lamp)
4º If low vacumm is detected (Diesel models)
The other one comes on
1º ABS system failure (Could be electronic and/or hidraulic problem)
Regards;
Note: Both lamps comes on just by grounding its wire, so if this wire is having an insulation problem, the lamp can tilt any moment while engine is on.
