88' F-250 Oil Loss

A friend of mine has an 88' F-250 4X4 with a Fuel Injected 460 with 65,000 original miles. The problem is that it uses oil. It doesn't burn it because there is no smoke and when a 'sniffer' is placed in the exhaust no burnt oil is detected at all. There are no leaks either, the motor has been fully inspected by me, a well known mechanic, and the Ford garage inspected it several times. No one can figure out where the oil is going. It needs about a quart every 2 weeks. The motor runs great. Has all the power of a brand new motor. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

88' F-250 Oil Loss

Just a guess, but how's the PCV system? Any signs of oil on the air filter?

88' F-250 Oil Loss

The truck is EXTREMELY well maintained. Air filter is changed every other oil change, needed or not. PCV is checked at every change and replaced as needed. No oil has ever been detected in the air filter. Thanks.
