Guy's,
The '86 F-350 I'm driving now came with 35" bald mud tires on aluminum rims. I put the steelies and dog dishes back on it and have no use for the aluminums. Are these desirable? They are the Starsky & Hutch Torino style rims. Do they still make 16.5 tires, regular or mudders? I didn't realize these were 16.5's- didn't know there was such a size. Had a lot of bullnoses and they all had 16's!
Thanks.
I had a set like that on my truck that were 16.5. I basically gave them away. Unless you want to run military surplus hum v tires, or pay $400 a piece for super swamper tires, no one makes tires for them anymore. You can still get the skinny truck tires that are 16.5 but there is not much selection and they won't fit on a wide rim.
Are they still doing that? It's been about 6-7 years since I've seen the BFG AT's in a 16.5 for sale.
I 'think' so but I don't know.. When I worked in the office at my tire shop ~1.5-2 years ago, I had seen them available and priced out I think 33's for a guy but they were stupid expensive. I ended up ordering him 16" wheels to go with some more affordable 16" tires.. It's a question that is asked once or twice per year..
Thanks for the info guy's. I was hoping somebody would want them, they are in great shape, but if tires are an issue for them, I can see why they would not be desirable.
