I’m very confused at this point. I have 97 7.3 with 160/30 injectors. When I start my truck I get a check engine light and it runs rough for about 30 seconds. Then smooths out and the light goes away. When I plug in a scanner to the obd2 and connect it to my app it starts just fine no light so I can’t even check what codes it’s throwing. I have replaced my IPR ICP CPS sensors trying to fix this problem. I’m very lost at this point and don’t know what to try next to fix this issue
They are full force diesel with a ts chip they retuned. It didn’t start doing this till about 2 months ago I’ve had the injectors in 5 months now with no previous problem.
Was the ICP an OEM sensor, there's a lot of fakes on the webs, only place I would trust would be a dealership or Riffraff diesel. Check the ICP connection/wiring as well as it could also throw that code and make a rough idle.
Rule of thumb with the 7.3 powerstroke is to always buy OEM sensors from a reputable source, if it were me I would buy OEM sensors then start trouble shooting from there, our engines don't play well with aftermarket sensors.
