WeatherTech MudFlaps (No Drill)

Any one install the WeatherTech No Drill Mudflaps? If you did, did you install the plastic paint protector film that comes with it?

I have them on my 2020 dually and I did use the paint protection film that came with them. I didn’t like the idea of road grit getting trapped between the body and flap and grinding into the black paint. Can’t even notice it once you put the mudflaps on.

Yes and used the included film. Rears only. Installed extra wide, extra long duraflaps up front for the wide track.

I did not use the film. I have used it on other vehicles and it tends to get dirt under it. On one nicer vehicle I own (not a truck) I had the clearmask guys apply clearmask to the area before I installed the mudflaps.

The sticker if not fully covered by mud flap tends to get white as water intrudes.

I bought my 2017 used and it had weathertech mud flaps. They didn't install the film and they body looked like it was sand blasted when I took them off. I'll never buy mud flaps that trap sand and debris like they did.

Love to see the front flaps . I have a 2020 F450 and it came with Ford OEM fronts installed. Passenger side has already cracked so I’m looking at other options.

The extra wide makes a big difference! Less spray down the sides and less rocks thrown at the rear fenders.

Yes, I did the weather techs (again) and they were easy, as always.
I have never used the stickers
