I have 2018 F-350, want to put switch back side mirror marker lights on it, the ones i have found say they only work with daytime running lights,. Which ones will work or do I need to change settings in forscan. I would like the white LED running light and Amber LED blinker.
I posted a link to the ones on amazon
The oem side mirror lights do illuminate when the parking lights are on (running light), if that's what they are referring to. When you turn your parking lights on, or headlights, are your side mirror lights lit?
I would think white marker lights would be illegal in some places though...not that this kinda stuff gets enforced much.
Those are actually spotlights controlled by the 2 switches under the left hvac vent. They only work if your under 5 mph. I just bought a plug in adapter that will allow you to switch them on at any speed.
I guess they replace the the blinker and spot light.

The words used in the add he linked say, "running lights', "parking lights",in reference to the white light. Nowhere does it say spot light. That's not to say you are wrong. It very well could be a poorly written description. The OP never stated whether he has the spots or not either. Not all Super Duty's have the spot light function.
Mine does, and like you, I also addded a speed overide harness to my spot lights, as well as an integrated strobe function.
My truck has 4 pins on the harness, but only has 3 on the stock light. I installed the running light did not work on any light setting, was amber when i opened the door. worked as should with turn signal. I do not have spot lights.

Can we get a link to that? I have read about opening up the little module box and shorting 2 pins together, but this seems like a lot less invasive and quicker solution.
