Adding cube fogs

Adding cube fogs to my '22 XL 350, no upfitters, swapping out headlight control switch. will this plug and play?...or is there some FORscan witchcraft needed.
No need for "Bambi mode", or even the fog light indicator in the instrument cluster... just basic functionality.

If you just want them to function, why not power them with a relay? Have the relay triggered with either the low beam, or marker lights.

I wired mine this way and have them triggered with the marker light so they are on whether I'm using low beam or high beam. Bonus is that they are also on when I remote start the truck so I can see around the rig at night.

Just basic stock function, I'd run a trigger wire from your low beam to a switch, from the switch to a relay and grab fused power from a battery. Function would be, switch and low beams would need to be on for the fog lights to function, just like stock. I'm not sure what the connectors look like for the OEM switch, that could get interesting or you could end up splicing into a harness.

Yes, you need to enable in the BCM and IPC via FORScan. (Note, these values below were used on a pre-2020. Not sure if any address values changed.)

There is a tiny removable panel near your headlight switch that covers the hole for the adjustable pedal control. You could pop that out and mount a switch in that, with either direct battery or ignition switched power. You would run a bunch of wire but it would be so simple. Battery, switch, light, it works, cheap. And have full control of the lights.

I'm doing this to my 2018. Are you going to try and use the Ford wiring harness adapter part #, HC3Z-15K867-B? It is on a national back order with no estimated shipping date. I 'm going to use a voswitch 8 switch to run them .

I'll be add other things to this control panel as well.

There is thousand different ways to do this. Me personally, I wouldn't mess with the existing switch or Forscan or anything for something that simple. Just power them with a relay that gets constant power directly from the battery or the under hood fuse box. Then control the relay with a tap off the marker lights like the gentleman above, or the low beams, or the horn No work or wiring inside the cab at all. If you want them on their own separate switch, it would be different obviously.
