I have been trying to figure out if my truck will come by train or by truck. I know that most if not all start on train but I’m in St.Louis area the truck was built 10/14 released on 10/15 and no shipment. Just wondering such a small distance does it ride the train? I would think there would be at least one train headed this way in 10 days but maybe I’m wrong.

So the palsapp says pending origin Kentucky truck plant destination null. So I would assume it comes by truck only. Is that safe to assume?
Nope. If you are any distance from Kentucky Truck Plant your truck will begin it's journey on a train. It will arrive at a "ramp" or "yard" where it will be transferred to a truck for the last leg of the journey. Palsapp is slow to update. Palsapp didn't show my dealer (destination) until it was loaded on the truck... for a 40 minute drive.
I'm in the St Louis area as well. There's a ramp/yard across the river in E St Louis or so, and there's another one in Wentzville near the GM plant. There may be more too, and I'm sure where it changes over from train to truck depends on what railroad is bringing it in, and where your dealer is located.
What does your window sticker say for "Ramp Code"?
I thought this would be a post about what do you want your horn to sound like, and how to make it happen. I'm weight limited because our truck camper weighs 5k+ lbs loaded, so not going to be adding stuff, but would love to have a train horn. I never use the horn unless needed, or someone really deserves it.
If it is coming by Rail, the rail car number will be available from your dealer. Then you can track it.
And you can let me know the rail yard for CA1K if it does go by rai? I suspect it does since there are 3 rail yards in MO.
If it does go by rail it would be the yard in Centerville IL, if I had to guess. On palsapp it just populated today and gives the origin as Kentucky truck plant and destination my dealer. I think it’s coming on a truck and this is the reason for the delay.
I got my window sticker today. Truck will ship to a dealer just south of Nashville. It shows a ramp code of CA1K too. Maybe this is the ramp code they use if it is shipping by truck the whole way?
