Anyone know what a 2 ton 56 Ford with about a 10' dump box would weigh? Found one about 3 hours away and need to know if my trailer will haul it. Thanks.

A grain style box or a 6 yard dump ? Big difference. Truck of that era with 6 yard dump box would be a tan dem unit. The trucks out of that era are not as heavy as a lot of people think. Has 8.25-20 tires on firestone RH5°wheels with 5 lug. GVW proably 15-16 thousand so I would say around 8000 thousand. I have 83 F800 Diesel with 6 yard Fontaine box on it, It weights 12000 empty. It makes a 56 look kinda small.
BUT you have not said what you have for a trailer ??? thats the key word. Here is a F8 with a light 3 axle trailer towed by a pickup never knew it was on there all the way from Main....
Trailer is good for 14,000. Haul a 10,000 lb Bobcat all over. Don't think that there is going to be much room to move truck head or back to balance and I'm more concerned about tongue weight. Thanks again.
