The whole headliner comes out if you pull down on it after the a pillar plastic is pulled away. The headliner is held in with magnets. But if you are looking to tie in to a upfillter the wires are by the driver side battery.
From the rear of the vehicle pull down on the overhead console. Eventually, once you are pulling so hard you think you're going to collapse the roof, the clips will release. Now, be very careful and slowly work your way forward pulling down on the edges. Eventually the front clips will also be pulled free. In my experience, this is a max of 3 operation before the console breaks (mine broke on try 4, and in another spot on pull 5). You can't just buy the facia - you need to buy the whole thing including switches which is like $450.
That console is very expensive if you break the plastic taking it out (Don't ask me how I know) but I followed the service manual and still broke it !!!

Be careful pulling it off. I tried pulling mine off, and it cracked on the back. I was able to gorilla glue it back together, but I was always looking at that crack when I drove, and it made me nuts. I found a nice solution on Amazon. It covered it up perfectly and was only $35. I am very happy with the results.
