F150 2020 pulley problem

I broke the pulley on my tensioner . Can I replace it without replacing or buying the whole tensioner ? What about a different pulley that is the same size ?

Have you checked your local parts department?

This is a nearly new truck, why would you put a "different" pulley on it....

Well I took it off road and went through a hole that was deeper than I thought . I made it through , but I broke the belt and the pulley . No one has it without ordering it and waiting . It is also 50 bucks and all I need is the pulley not the whole tensioner

$50 is cheap. Order it and wait.

Or see if you can find a junkyard with late model stuff.

Yeah I was just curious if anyone knew if it really mattered . Yeah $50 is cheap but I already replaced the starter and bought new belts . Not to mention the so called skid plate is cheesy and I have to get a better one , it’s been down for 5 days trying to work on it after work . So my little adventure has cost me over $500 already .

I’m not saying it’s not possible but I’ve never heard of such a thing happening from hitting a hole.

I learned something new today.

Well the hole was about 4’ deep and 40’ long full of mud , so I’ve been cleaning for days . Found the pully local for 80 bucks can’t wait until the 20th . I just hope nothing else is damaged . Lesson learned , I need a lift kit .

You could take the pulley off the tensioner and take it to an industrial supply house that sells just the pulleys. Most cities have one or two.

Was there another way around that mud hole, or where you just playing? I avoid unknown mudholes, actually any mudholes, if there is another way. You never know what is in them. Lesson learned the hard way when I was young.

Yes sir I was playing at the mud park, didn’t know it was that deep . Yes I learned a lesson….. I need a lift kit on my truck . I will say this , I won’t get stuck if it’s not high centered she gonna go . Proud and embarrassed at the same time . It was not my brightest moment. Thanks

yes just not for the 2020 model but I found one that was exactly the same, ended up replacing the starter , alternator , pulleys , belts , and the charging system service indicator is still on . I’m getting a scanner to see what the deal is , I’m setting at about $1200 so far .
