Pros: They add so much to the interior visually IMO. They add LOTS of natural light. They add ventilation options.
Cons: You need to maintain them with a good lubricant regularly to avoid seal problems. You are going to get a lot of moonroof haters from a maintenance standpoint…..

Another con is the added weight is up high and takes away from capacity but I don't know how much. Most moonroofs take away from headroom. That is an issue for me as I am tall. Another obvious con is the additional cost.
Another pro, I like to drive in cold weather with a moonroof open and heater on full blast.

Had a sun roof in my 2018 f150 never leaked but the drain tube and the track did go bad. This was under warranty and worked fine after that. Sun roof on my 2022 f350 has been flawless. Have the extended warranty so if it breaks I will just take it in lol the design on the f350 is different. This one operates a lot smoother

To the OP, we like it on our 22 F-250 for the view and ambient light, but need to get some ceramic put on it to limit heat in bright sunshine here in TN.

Had one on my 2017 and was always terribly afraid it was going to break when opening. I would try to use it regularly and it would randomly pop pretty good when the seal would stick and I would think, alright here it goes...
When I bought my 2020 Platinum I specifically chose the truck I did because it did not have the pano-roof, which was difficult to find. My 2022 on order was ordered without it as well. Too many horror stories in my opinion to be worth the minimal gain. It is nice I guess if you just open the shade and never open the actual roof, but I have a Tesla for that.
