Good Afternoon rebuilding my 6 cylinder 226 any good leads on pistons? Looking like hens teeth. Found Egge Anybody else maybe less than 50.00 per piston? Thank you Jim
Check on E-Bay periodically. They do show up there. Tonight there is only one standard size one available at less than $50. And three that are 0.030" over. A full set of six is on there too, but they far exceed your price wish.
Parts show up every day on there. Might not take long to find some. Do you want standard size or over? Maybe a member here has a lead on them.
Tom
Thank you for the leads, I am still working the block thinking .020 to .030 over I have one scar in number six hole and once I get the final dimension I will be back with you . Marauder 2004 thanks for letting me know you have some. Jim
One other good trick is to get the original factory part number and google search for it. I found a set of NOS +0.030 pistons for my 215 at about a third of Egge's price. You may want to determine minimum oversize, find pistons that size or larger, then final bore for the pistons you buy.
