Dash removal

How do I get the black plastic piece around the gauge cluster off? It's a 96 F350. I thought it popped off, but it didn't seem to budge and I don't want to break it. Thanks

You need to pry the strips of plastic trim moulding off the dash; there should be four Torx bolts holding the black trim piece on. Remove the bolts and you should be able to wiggle the piece off.

Forgive me this may sound dumb, but what plastic strips? I'm not following.

The HORIZONTAL strips(They should be a very dark gray) below the light switch on the left and the blank panel on the right of the column. Just pry them out and then you have 4 TORX screws to contend with. Once they are out then just "WIGGLE" the Dash cover off.

Now, I got it. My strips are actually black and matches the piece that you wiggle out. I always thought it was one piece. Thanks a million for the info guys.
