Hey guys, i am planning a monster mash with my 91 f350 here soon and want to see if i can get any guidance.
Ok so i am looking at putting a newer dash assembly in place of the busted up one i have now. I am looking at swaping in a 08-18 dash. I know theres going to be a lot of trimming and probably some additional supports to be added.
Has anyone done this or have any idea of how much of a pain in the butt its going to be?
Wow! that would be something to see! Make sure you take a lot of pictures.
My guess is there will be a wealth of trimming to get things to fit. Then you'll have all sorts of wiring issues to figure out. The newer the dash, they harder it will be to get things to work since everything is computerized these days.
yes, once i start the swap, im going to use cardboard to make sure the outter plastics fit right the first time, so i dont hack up a crazy expensive dash.
Im going to be doing pictures and videos. This is the kind of stuff id love to do and be able to quit my current job( even tho the pay is really good) and do full time.
But the interior is only one part of the mega swap! 😜🙃
