trailer towing mirrors
Hello, can you guys help out a newbie with a question? I just bought a 99' F-250 XLT that has the trailer towing mirrors on it. I assumed they would manually telescope in since they seemed to be sticking out quite a bit. But when I tryed to push them in, they didn't seem to want to push in at all. I remember seeing a salesman pull and extend some manually on another truck, but the truck was an 02'. Do the trailer mirrors on the 99's extend in & out, or just fold away? I appreciate any help you can give.

Sorry, '99 mirrors don't extend in or out. I think they started that feature in '00. Check E-Bay for some replacements, seems someone is trying to get rid of theirs espically now that everyone wants the 'new' TT mirrors with the turn signals on the sides.
