I have a 95psd w 95000 and recently the temp. guage runs between the r and m of "NORMAL". Before it use to run on the N. THe coolant was changed and a new thermostat was installed when the water pump went about 3000 miles ago. My cps crapped out and right before it went the temp guage was between the r and m. A new cps did change anything associated with the temp. Should i be concerned. Under load it stays on the M.
I second the message from 250. As long as it does not vary under loads, i.e. go up to L or above then you are OK. Check the person who put in your thermo. It probably has a higher temp number on the bottom. Write this down as it might be important in the future. If you work it hard and long you will want to make sure you have the standard 205 or maybe lower.
Mine had a 150 in it when I bought the PU. It worried the heck out of me, wouldn't get to the N, until I finally pulled the thermo and looked. I needed to change the gasket anyway, it was starting to drip. Pu in 205 and temp looks good.
