Morning brother.... im still down in grand isle and port fourchon doing storm work also. What they got yall doing? We have a skid steer and dump trailer and contracting for Entergy, going through and picking up downed poles and hardware.
A few of our crews got switched over to hauling gravel. Not sure what Larose looks like, but grand isle is heartbreaking.

I have 3 crews down here splicing fiber for Vision.
Just saw your dash cam footage. I am sooooo glad that ended the way it did. Man that was close. I had a similar near miss in Dallas hauling a load (79 F250 Ext cab). My 95 F350 trailer brake controller had a short and I didn’t know it. I was rolling down I20 at speed when topped a hill and traffic was stopped. Mashed the brakes, worked for a second and then they went to the floor. Nothing doing but brake pedal to floor with no braking. My trailer brakes were not working at all and my truck brakes had boiled. I hit the shoulder and luckily got it shutdown with my energy brake and downshifting with no issues. Scared the s*^• outta me though. After sitting there for several hours, brakes cooled and started working again. Put a new controller on in the nearest Ford dealership parking lot before continuing. It’s a helpless feeling when you are moving with a load and can’t stop. Glad you made out alright.
