I replaced all my stock springs/ overload springs on my 49 F1 last winter with Posies super slide springs. Had several broken leafs. Got rid of alot of weight. Didn't smooth out the ride as much as I hoped for. Didn't really change ride height as old springs were probably sagging. Would recommend measuring and recording drive shaft insertion in tranny, pinion distance from tranny before disassembly. I had to lenghten drive shaft after installation. But it may have been border line before. Have 302/ AOD. Quite a job to do by yourself. Good winter project. I have a hoist. Good Luck
