Perhaps BUT that engine and along with needing "just a fuel pump" suggests huge maintenance and/or repair issues with that engine!
That's a decent price but honestly I'd plan spending at least the purchase price additional getting the entire van into good reliable driving condition.
Yeah not being able to start it and hear it running and no clue on any trans issues would be a big turnoff. The price is nice but being a diesel it could get real expensive quickly if it ends up being injectors or such.

My cynical and skeptical nature tells me the current owner might already have received a repair cost estimate and trying to dump this one onto some looking more for at the price, thinking "just a fuel pump.." means $100 or so. Craig's List is NOT to be trusted for being honest or forthcoming.
BTW COVID-19 made me suspect everyone is out to take my money!
Dad has talked to a shop, they restore vehicles, they are going to work me in and get my windshield out and frame welded up, they seemed to think it was not a problem. I have replaced heater blower motor, resistor then found the relay bad, I finally have a working fan, the possibility to get the AC working is looking up, once I reconnect the compressor wire and replace the compressor. I can say after replacing the entire front floor, I will never trust anyone selling a vehicle, pull up the carpet before buying, even if it requires removal of trim. I have a great running van, I found the #1 plug was different, indicating the "tune up" they did was 5 of the 6 cylinders, need to replace the distributor, no surprise, the hold down, missing on one side, got a jam nut on it right now. Anyone wanting an inline engine van, beware there is a blower motor under the battery, along with a large pipe running up and over the battery to the injector rail, to keep them cool, combat heat soak, makes battery removal fun. We have been joking I'll have $10,000 in it when I finish, yet there aren't many shorty vans around here.
