When you use the search tool on the Ford website, do you know how accurate the information as far as the inventory is? For example if is says "Just Arrived" do they actually have it on the lot or is that a truck that someone has ordered but not really available to look at. In my area I used the search tool for a range of 25 miles and it shows quite a few but I wondered if most of those are trucks that are ordered.

I have 3 dealers in my area and one of them lists their Retail orders as inventory. You would probably have to call to verify if a particular truck is available (and hope they are honest with you).

I gave up on trying to find an in-stock truck and just ordered one.
My truck showed up on the dealers inventory soon after my order was placed and accepted by Ford.
That is actually where I got the VIN for my truck, off the dealer's website.
I have found that the Dealer Website button is Your friend ..
In My searches going from the Ford Site to the Dealers there will not
be Photos of the truck on the Dealers Site unless it is in stock ..
After that Phone Calls are cheap .. All part of the search/research ..
Good Luck Steve !!
i use it all the time to help others find a vehicle
but i always call the dealer to verify its on the lot or in transit. saves lots of time.
car gurus is decent as well . but still a phone call is the only way to know .
I just searched on cars.com. You know it is there and for sale when you see actual pictures of it on the dealers lot. When I gave up on Ford stalling on building my ordered truck it took me about 30 minutes to find several '22s on dealers lots. Another 30 minutes and I had the deal made...
