1990 e350 460 PCV valve

Does the top port on the PCV need to be hooked up anywhere?

I can't tell you if there should be anything connected there, often times a multiport PCV valve fits more than one application or the engine has different options of PCV valve for things like high altitude or federal/CA emissions. I can tell you that if there is no second hose, then that second port needs to be capped off.

I know this is old but did you ever figure out an answer to this? I’m wondering the same thing right now.

No, that top port was used on some applications back in the 80's
That is why now days, there isn't even a hole drilled in that top port
Just leave it
Back in the 80's when you bought one, it came with a manifold cap because the port was open
