ok check this out.. ive got a 1982 bronco with a 351w and i'm having a problem when i turn it off. it is 'dieseling'? im not sure what to do about it. ive taken it to the shop a couple of times for it and i want them to fix it for good. why in the world is it doing this and can i fix it? help me fellas
Dieseling or "run-on" is usually a result of poor timing and/or a poorly adjusted carburator. The timing needs to be set according the procedure for your truck and the "on car" carburator adjustments need to be made. Unless there is something wrong with the advance mechanism sticking, this should cure the problem.
