1949 F7 Split rim wheels

We are rebuilding a 1949 F7 firetruck and want to go to a 22.5 x 6.75 rim. Would appreciate any input on how to do this.

All Budd wheel equipped F-7/8s have the 8 x 10” bolt pattern. No one else that I’ve found record of used that pattern. Original 22.5s from the late 1950s and 1960s are extremely rare. The most likely avenue to a set would be to have a custom set built using original Budd centers. A source that I’d check with is Chuck Mantiglia of Chuck’s Trucks in CT. I know that he has a custom wheel relationship with a major west coast supplier. He may be able to help, and may even have a lead on an original Budd set. Stu
