permanent rear diff oil

Went to get the rear diff oil changed on my 2015 F250 and the mechanic told me the oil from the factory is permanent and does not need to be changed. Is this true?

If it's true it will say so in your owner's manual in the fluid capacities section.

its permanent until water from condensation that gets in thru the vent hose builds up.

I know I have an older truck but cheap and easy compared to the rear end replacement or rebuild..
Do it every couple years, or if it gets dunked, or about 50,000 ish around an oil change cycle.
Well, Because..
